FREE EVENT where participants can get a taste of theater, on Sunday 06.10.24, 17h to 20h.
* Teacher: Joaquim Pedro Ferreira
* Where: Jogos d'Arte, Quinta São Silvestre, Estrada Nacional 116, 2665-420 Ericeira.
* Structure: This workshop is aimed at both people who already have experience of acting and those who have never set foot on a stage. It is divided into 3 chapters:
1 - Immersion: we will use body expression techniques such as grounding, sensitometry, learning body movements and breathing, among others. Here we will discover our own energy, theatre techniques and dramatic abilities.
2 - Deep Diving: we learn to use our voice, our body, our space and our movement more deeply, relating them to the text, the dramatic context and the stage. Using theatrical methods, such as Grotowsky's method, we will learn to create characters, absorb roles and better understand what theatre is.
3 - Emersion, where we will combine all the previous experiences to build a performance that we will rehearse and share with the public.

Our year-long theater workshop is a transformative experience, and we’re seeking participants who can commit to the full year. Each session builds on the last, ensuring steady growth.

* Language: English and Portuguese.
* Payment: The monthly price is 50 euros (a total of 450 E for the full period of 9 months). This can be payed by bank transfer or MBway. In the event of additional meetings for rehearsals or performances, there are no additional costs.
To secure your place in our year-long workshop, we require a deposit of €50, which will be used toward your final month's payment. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable in case of early withdrawal from the workshop. Our aim is to ensure commitment throughout the program to create the best experience for all participants. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to having you with us.

One-year workshop for adults (aged 16 and over) (October 2024 to July 2025), on Tuesdays from 19.00 to 21.30, starting October 8th, preceded by a

FREE EVENT where participants can try out this experience, on Saturday 05.10.24, from 10.00 to 13.00.
This workshop will work on your writing skills specifically for use as spoken narrative and storytelling. It is aimed at both people who already write creatively and those who have never tried creative writing before and are willing to join us and try it.
* Teacher: Joaquim Pedro Ferreira.
* Where: Jogos d'Arte, Quinta São Silvestre, Estrada Nacional 116, 2665-420 Ericeira.
* Structure: Three chapters of three months each, on Tuesdays from 18:30 to 21. During this time, we will organise events to start telling stories with an audience.
1 - Immersion (08.10 - 07.01), where we'll write and tell stories to each other, using prompts and exercises to understand the path.
2 - Deep Diving (14.01 - 01.04), where we'll dive into the method to create engaging, structured stories that can be told in an engaging way.
3 - Emersion (08.04 - 24.06), where we used theatre methods and voice techniques to tell stories.
